Travel

Time for a bit of travel. Cannot decide whether only to go as far as Washington state or go on to Canada. I find Canada a wonderful place for new adventures. If only I could remember where I hid the passport and birth certificate would be off in a flash. Probably need a new passport as I never made the Skinner Sisters trip as anticipated.

Going to join that group for a go at London before too many more seasons pass. Just seems there is always something coming along to distract the happy traveler.

Had a bit of cool off so now low 100's with humidity. Reminds me a bit of the south without the hurricanes. Hope all you stitchers in hurricane path survived without problem.

Where Did You Go?

Where has the Stitching Blogger's Forum Gone? I looked, searched and finally gave up in frustration. Need a new word, used that one too many times.

Heating up in this part of the country. Too hot for anything creative plus the low humidity does not go with my camcorder. Less than 17% humidity do not recommend use. Waiting for delivery of new digital which hopefully does not have such a limitation.

Grandchildren did obligatory stop over. Took them to see Monkeys, train ride and boat ride. Think the train ride with roadrunner coming up for a snack was biggest hit of the day. My money was on the monkeys but what do I know.

Thinking about a short trip to Northern California for a short visit with friends then on to Oregon for some cooler weather.

Photo Failure

Well the attempt to publish a photo here was a total failure. Going to try another run next week after get over learning about Systemworks.
From internet provider big warning notice on opening page.  Get yourself more protection or be infected. Is that not what they are charging high rates to provide? Guess I misunderstood the hype.
If only we could get Earthlink in this area how happy I would be to pay their reasonable charges.
Gripe, Gripe and more Gripes is this soul never happy? Yes the temperature fell to a smouldering 110.

FRUSTRATION AGAIN

Well the frustration level is running high.  Still unable to link photos from Yahoo to this page.  Will keep trying maybe if I read the directions again.
Heat is frying brain so maybe I will have to wait for night cool off.
Lots of activities locally so keeping busy.

That most funny jounalist Molly Ivins has published another book.  Ms. Ivins  uses her Texasisms for fun, laughter and pushing political involvement no matter what your political leaning.  Her plea in the introduction for all of us to take part is especially persuasive.

Testing different typefaces as I heard someone mention they are unable to read blogs in small type on their super screens.
Not sure why type comes up so dark but it is better than tiny type, I guess.
 
Well the picture posting is not going along as anticipated. Using geocities (Yahoo) site to post photo then tried to place proper code. Will check later to see if accomplished goal or need to do more experiments.
 

 

Times Wasting

Just finished chatting with my dear friend Linn. Time does pass so quickly when we only have a few minutes to chat. More fun when we lived closer. Keep up with her acitivities by following her blog and webpage.
 
Only trouble is she keeps finding wonderful ways to spend money.  Not going to return to work so will have to curb temptation to purchase everything she recommends.
 
Ordered a great photo from Cats Paws for a friend. Looking forward to her commments about super boquet.
 
Heat oppressive. Must stop computer generating heat for now.
